Jonas Vingegaard hit the deck after the finish of the 16th stage of the Tour de France when he was jostled by a photographer on the top of Mont Ventoux, the two-time Tour de France champion said on Tuesday.
Tadej Pogacar rampaged through the Pyrenees, winning atop Hautacam on stage 12, then demolishing the field in the time trial on stage 13, and those back-to-back wins have gone some way to ensuring the destiny of the Tour de France title is looking fairly well sewn up.

INEOS Grenadiers’ Thymen Arensman won stage 14 of the Tour de France on Saturday, riding solo for the final 37km of a brutal day in the Pyrenees. Behind him race leader Tadej Pogacar added six seconds to his lead over Jonas Vingegaard.
Speaking in another interview, Kuss explained that although he had "run out of legs," to get in a breakaway was always a good place to be, and when Vingegaard and Pogačar overtook him in the main group of favourites, "things looked good."
Though it doesn’t always hold sway, Tour de France tradition dictates that in the event of an unfortunate crash or mechanical problem, the peloton sits up and waits for the rider in the yellow jersey. But Pogačar wasn’t in yellow on Wednesday. Irish rider Ben Healy snagged the overall lead earlier in the week and had the jersey on his shoulders.
