CM Punk channeled some “Basic Punkanomics” earlier this year on WWE SmackDown with John Cena before their match at Night of Champions. WWE Superstar CM Punk recently spoke with Matt Aguilar of ComicBook Nation.

Cody Rhodes stood tall in the ring with the Undisputed WWE Championship after his contract signing for his SummerSlam match against John Cena. The 17-time world champion told Cody that their match was cancelled.

They did a really cool split screen, where they showed Rhodes reacting to Cena saying he’s doing a big movie for Netflix, they know and understand the situation, and he’s too exhausted to work SummerSlam. He offered up doing it at Clash in Paris, or maybe in Perth later on, but he simply could not in good faith sign the contract.
