ESPARTO — Three brothers, two of them East Bay residents, were among seven people identified by authorities in Yolo County on Friday as victims of an explosion at a warehouse storing fireworks.

Najee Harris suffered a superficial eye injury in a Fourth of July fireworks explosion, according to his agent.

An 18-year-old baseball player from Stockton was identified as one of seven people killed in an explosion at a fireworks facility in Esparto.

The Milledgeville fireworks display ended abruptly, leaving residents disappointed; the company and city promised improvements and refunds.

The minimum age to buy fireworks in Missouri is 14, and in four states: Arkansas, Mississippi, North Dakota and Oklahoma, 12-year-olds are allowed to purchase fireworks. Nevada, Pennsylvania, Washington, DC, Wisconsin and Wyoming have no age restrictions, but local ordinances usually require that an adult (over 18) be present.

A girl was injured while playing with fireworks in North Philadelphia on Thursday, police said. The incident happened on the 1700 block of North Bailey Street at around 3:30 p.m., according to police. Police said the girl was taken to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia after the incident. Her condition isn't known at this time.

A 3-year-old girl died after being struck by a stray bullet during a firework show, D.C. police said. Now, police are looking for a 24-year-old suspect on a warrant for first-degree murder, according to a July 9 Metropolitan Police Department news release.
