China is set to get an EREV and EV version of the Ford Bronco. Unfortunately, American buyers likely won't see this car, as it's built in China.
The Ford Bronco is built in China for that market, and now Ford is adding all-electric and extended-range versions as well – but it looks like those will stay in that market and not make their way to our shores.
Those differences include, but don’t end with, what’s under the hood. While Ford has still to grace either of its American Bronco models with any more electric power than is needed to start their combustion engines, the Chinese Bronco New Energy is available as a full EV or with a range-extender (EREV) setup.
