Former NBA player Ben McLemore was sentenced to more than eight years in prison on Wednesday following last week’s rape conviction.

Former Portland Trail Blazers guard Ben McLemore has been sentenced to over eight years in Oregon state prison after being found guilty of raping a 21-year old woman at a house party back in 2021.

Ben McLemore, 32, issued a lengthy statement after the hearing, blaming heavy alcohol consumption for impairing his judgment. He played at Wellston High and the University of Kansas.
