Batman: The Brave and the Bold might take longer to reach the theaters but it is being written, per the new DC chairpersons.

The dynamic duo of James Gunn and Peter Safran answered the Bat-Signal to give an update on The Brave and the Bold. ComicBook attended a presser on the Warner Bros. studio lot in Burbank, where the co-chairmen and CEOs of DC Studios briefed reporters and answered questions about the state of the DC Universe.

DC Studios boss James Gunn said that it was "very unlikely" (via Variety) and "certainly not the plan" (via Collider) that Robert Pattinson would play Batman in upcoming The Brave and the Bold. But, "I wouldn’t rule anything out," Gunn added. "He could show up in something else. But the actor doesn’t exist [yet]."

Speculation and/or manifestation that The Batman star Robert Pattinson would also play Batman in the wider DC Universe has only increased since The Batman director Matt Reeves gave a noncommittal answer about the possibility in a January interview at the Golden Globes.
