Goaltender Arvid Soderblom has been the biggest surprise of the 2024-25 season. He wasn’t even supposed to be in the NHL season after the signing of Laurent Brossoit in the summer.

Before we get to those, here’s one final roundup of what I’m hearing about the team. It was a little surprising to see Arvid Söderblom file for arbitration. You can’t blame him, though.

Soderblom earned his ninth loss in 10 appearances (1-5-4), and he's down to 8-16-7 with a 3.14 GAA and a .901 save percentage through 32 appearances this season.
