ASHBURN, Va. — The Washington Commanders said Tuesday they are retiring Hall of Fame wide receiver Art Monk’s No. 81 this season. Monk is the sixth player in franchise history to get that honor, joining Darrell Green, Sammy Baugh, Bobby Mitchell, Sonny Jurgensen and Sean Taylor.

Hall of Fame wide receiver Art Monk, a part of all three of Washington's Super Bowl winning teams, will have his No. 81 retired by the Commanders on Nov. 2.

The Commanders will honor Hall of Fame receiver Art Monk by retiring his No. 81 jersey in Week 9 against the Seahawks.
